Our goal is for your child to grow and learn in a positive environment to ensure their success in First Grade!! First Grade is an incredible time in the life of a child. Everyday is a learning opportunity a chance to learn a new life long skill. Not only do you learn academically but this is the time of life when a child learns responsibility and right from wrong. This will set them up for a successful career and determine what the future holds for them.
Announcements HomeworkHomework in First Grade consists of two subjects.
Math homework is built into our Saxon math curriculum and therefore an essential part of the First Grade math program. Your child's math homework is always practice that is very similar to the class work from that particular day and will never consists of new concepts, only a review of a concept already taught. Spelling words will come home on Monday and are to be practiced at home for the spelling test on Thursday. A word search will come home on Wednesday as a review for the spelling test the next day. |
